Day 1: Drive to Kibale Forest, do a Nature walk at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
Very early in the morning, you will be picked from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and begin a 6 hours journey to Kibale National Park. Upon arrival at the park, you have lunch at the lodge, have a brief rest and use the evening hours for a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Bigodi Wetland is a very superlative area for appreciating Mother Nature and its possessions.
The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is well-known for an affluence of biological diversity including the white and black L’Hoest monkeys, the red colobus monkeys, the grey cheeked monkeys, the colobus monkeys, the mangabey, red tailed monkey, vervet monkey, blue monkey and baboon among the many. Other mammals that may be seen at the swamp include sitatungas, bush pigs, bush bucks and otters to mention. Day 2: Enjoy Kibale Chimpanzee Tracking and return to Kampala
Enjoy a heavy breakfast to get enough energy for tracking chimpanzees in the forest. After breakfast, you will go for briefing by the park guides and then start walking into the forest in search of chimpanzees, the closest species to Humans in terms of biological features and traits. Prior to the adventure, you will be briefed about all the chimpanzee trekking rules and regulations to follow for health and safety reasons. Led by guides into the forest for a walk, you will awesomely meet the chimps as they do their routine shouts, murmurs and games across tree branches and stems.
