Igishigishigi trail in Nyungwe forest national park is one of the shortest trails in this thick forest. The trail is approximately 2.1 km long and takes about 1 hour and half to trek. The Igishigishigi trail is among the most amazing hiking trails in Nyungwe Forest National Park and it rewards visitors intensely with the scenic views and abundant wildlife, plants and various monkey species. Igishigishigi trail got its name from the giant tree ferns along the trail that is known locally as Igishigishigi in the Kinyarwanda language leads to the canopy walk in the forest.

While on this wonderful trail, visitors get to spot various monkey species, birds, primates, butterflies, treetops and nice looking wild flowers.

The Canopy walk in Rwanda is an exciting experience done in Nyungwe National Park on a suspended bridge of 70 metres high above the huge Nyungwe forest and this walk is a guided walk on a 160 metre long walkway that lasts about 2 hours on the bridge.
