4 Days Chimpanzee Trekking Safaris in Kibale National Park
In Kibale National Park, Chimpanzee Trekking Safaris are the major tour activities. Kibale Forest National Park is about 760 sq kms in size and has a variety of primates estimated at 13 species that include red, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, baboons and groups of chimpanzees which are a must-view when you visit the park. Day 1: Transfer to Kampala.
Our driver guide will pick you up from Entebbe Airport and transfer to Kampala for your overnight. You are at liberty to have a Kampala City Tour basing upon the time of arrival time. Overnight at Serena, Sheraton Hotel, Hotel Africana, Mosa Courts or any other booked accommodation.
DAY 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park Uganda.
Early morning, you will be picked from your Hotel and be driven to Fort Portal district via Mityana and Mubende. You may have stops at Nakayima tree believed to be hosting the spirit of Nakayima. You will also make other stops at different fascinating places along the way. From here, you will have a lunch break before touching down late afternoon in Fort Portal. You will spend your night at Valley Kibale Crater, Fort Motel, Rwenzori View Guest House, Ndali Lodge.
DAY 3: Chimpanzee Trekking Safaris in Kibale Forest
Early in the morning prepare at the lodge for a morning trekking of chimpanzee in Kibale forest in search of chimps and other primates. Led by the experienced guides, your journeys will give you a lot of insight into the lives of primates and you will be shocked to learn how well organised and close to human beings these primates are. At the park, you will see primates like l’hoestes, red colobus, blue-red tailed and gray cheeked mangabey. Return to the lodge in the afternoon for lunch and then after visit Bigodi wetland swamp for nature walk, bird watching and primate viewing. In the evening, you will retire at either Ndali Lodge or Crater Valley Kibale.
DAY 4: Visit Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru, Drive to Kampala
In the morning you will head out towards Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru and come face to face with stalactites and stalagmites. Take a walk around the trees and take some breathtaking pictures before you go back to the lodge to enjoy your lunch. Proceed to Kampala and arrive in the evening. Retire to your Hotel for dinner and overnight.
