8 Days Boat Cruise, Nature and Primate Safaris
Day 1: Kigali city tour and Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National park.
Upon your arrival at the airport, the company guide/drive will receive and takes you through the itinerary. He will take you through the town of Kigali for a city tour. Visit Kigali Genocide Memorial the final resting place for over 250,000 victims who were killed during the Genocide, visit Rwanda national museum and proceed with your journey to Nyungwe forest national park. Upon reaching the park, check in to the lodge where you to spend the night.

Day 2: Chimp Tracking and Colobus Monkey Trekking
Have breakfast and go into Nyungwe forest in search for 13 primate’s species and over 300 bird species, making it a bird watcher’s heaven. Nyungwe Forest is one of the places in the world where you can see up to 13 primates’ species; these include chimpanzees, the Blue Monkeys, L’Hoest’s Monkeys, endangered golden monkeys and the Angolan black and white Colobus Monkeys among others. Nyungwe forest has vast population of habituated primates whose flocks can include 400 to 500 folks. This is a exclusive tourism sensation. Drive back to your lodge for lunch and relax at the lodge, relax after lunch or you may decided to go for colobus monkey trekking just like chimps tracking, after it, you will get back to the lodge.

Day 3: Canopy and Nature walks
After the morning breakfast, you will get into to the forest for his amazing Canopy Walk as it involves walking on suspended loops hanged in the air, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the forest and birds as hear them making their romantic sounds. This will provide with a wide view all over the Nyungwe national park.

Day 4: Drive to Lake Kivu
After your breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Kivu as you appreciate the breath –taking scenery of the Virunga Mountains plus the green vegetation covering a very big area. You will stop over for lunch and continue for an evening boat cruise after checking in to the hotel.
Dinner an overnight stay at; Lake Kivu Serena (luxury), Paradise Marahide (mid-range), palm resort hotel (budget).
Day 5. Boat cruise and transfer volcanoes.
Enjoy your morning breakfast at the hotel as you continue for a boat cruise, the drive will take you around the lake shores, watch out the fishermen in the morning, the surrounding beautiful scenery of islands after you proceed for a boat cruise from where you will relax as your enjoying the cool breathe of fresh waters of the lake. Return to the lodge for lunch and later transfer to the volcanoes national park.

Day 6: Mountain Gorilla Tracking.
After your morning breakfast, you will assemble at the park headquarter a long side with your tracking gears, drinking water and packed lunch for a short briefing by the park warden about gorilla tracking. The guide will lead you to the gorilla tracking point trail and start searching the endangered primates in the forest. Trekking gorillas may take between 1 to 8 hours depending on the location and movement of these apes in their natural world. Upon seeing the gorillas all the fatigue will be released and you are allowed to spend 1 hour as you’re watching them at close range. You can take pictures, witness them as they play and make loud calls, this is one of the most interesting activity that you will make your trip a brighter one. After the trekking, you will get back to the lodge for late lunch from where you will proceed for Ibyiwacu Cultural Village where a lot of Rwanda’s cultural and traditional practices are performed.

Day 7.Golden monkey tracking and visit the twin lakes.
After your morning breakfast, you will assemble at the park headquarters just like gorilla tracking. After the briefing you will move into the forest together with your guide to look for these primates. They also keep wandering within the forest therefore finding them may take some time between 1 to 6 hours. This will also reward you with a great primate adventure experience. Take 1 hour with them as you witness the way the network with each other take pictures to make you trek a wonderful one. You will get back to the lodge for lunch you may decide to go and visit the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.

Day 8: Transfer to Kigali, city tour and departure
Have your breakfast and return back to Kigali getting early for a for a city tour in Kigali where you will stopover Nyamata church, Genocide Museum art and craft shops and local markets where you can do last minute shopping. You will continue to the airport to be in time for your scheduled flight.
