Entebbe International Airport – Uganda’s Main Airport

Entebbe International Airport is the main international airport of Uganda located near Entebbe town on Lake Victoria shores about 41 kilometers (25 miles) by road south-west of Kampala, the capital city of Uganda.

Entebbe International Airport lies across the equator at latitude of 00.020 North and longitude 320 East and it is raised at 3782 feet above sea level. The airport is part of a peninsular neighboring Africa’s biggest fresh-water-lake, Victoria and it is because of the above reasons why the airport has been referred “Airport on the equator”

Entebbe experience tropical climate throughout the year, it starts from between temperature of 17 0c and max of 27 0c in January and a min 16 0c max 25 0c in July.

Entebbe Airport found in Entebbe Municipality is main entrance to the Pearl of Africa; it is located just 40 kilometres south west of Kampala the capital city of Uganda.
