A Safari to Kidepo Valley National Park offers the most charming African wildlife, nature and cultural experiences. Kidepo Valley National Park found in the far North Eastern Uganda at the extreme corner near Uganda-South Sudan-Kenya boarders. Tour activities and attractions at the park include game drives, cultural visits to kraals and Karimajong homes called the Manyatas and panoramic admiration of the sloping Savannah grasslands among the many. Besides the rolling Savannah grasslands, Kidepo also has got rugged superlative mountainous topography. The park is accessible by road or by Air from Entebbe or Kampala.
 
Full Uganda Tour Itinerary to Kidepo National Park for 7 Days, 6 Nights
 
Day 1: Departure to Kidepo Valley National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be picked up and transfer to Kampala for overnight. Overnight at Urban by City Blue Hotel on Full Board basis.
Day 2: Start a Drive to Kidepo, sleep enroute in Kitgum Town
After breakfast, set off for Kidepo by taking the northern route. From Kampala, you will drive to via Karuma Bridge to Gulu town where you will have lunch as well. You will then proceed and have an overnight in Kitgum town. Overnight at Boma Hotel of full board. Travel Time: Kampala -Gulu Town (4:30 Hours’ Drive), (Gulu – Kitgum Town) 2:30 Hours’ Drive.
Day 3: Drive to Kidepo Park, enjoy an evening game Drive.
 
Enjoy breakfast and leave Kitgum for Kidepo Valley National Park. Arrive in late morning or early afternoon hours to the lodge. Check in and have a rest and lunch is approaching. After a sumptuous lunch at the lodge, you will set off for an evening game drive in the plains of this vast valley. The park has a lot to offer in terms of wildlife animals and birds as well. Common at this wider valley park are lions, giraffes, ostriches, leopards and many more. In the evening, retire to the lodge for overnight. Accommodation: Kidepo Savannah Lodge, Meal Plan: Full Board, Travel Time: 2 hours’ drive.
 
Day 4: Game Drive in the Morning, Take an afternoon/Evening Community Tour
 
In the morning, you will go for a game drive to Narus valley where there a high concentration of animals. Be ready to spot lions, buffaloes, leopards, and cheetah on a lucky day, giraffes plus many more. Get back to the lodge for lunch and use the afternoon for a cultural experience that will get you in touch with the Karimajong people at Karenna and Kapedo. Mix together and have a chat with the local elders and they will show you their animal kraals, the grinding stones and many more good items. Day 5: Make another Game, enjoy Nature and leave the Park to Gulu Town.
 
Since Kidepo valley is very large and interesting, you will have another game drive and possibly a simple nature before you leave. You will do game drive on different routes and trails in the park, attaining diverse experiences in the wild. After all the morning activities, you will have lunch followed by departure from the park. You will drive to Gulu Town for an overnight.  Accommodation: Acholi Inn Gulu, Meal Plan: Full Board, Travel Time: 4 hours’ drive
 
Day 6: Continue to Kampala with an enroute Rhino Tracking & Lunch.
 
Wake up at your own pace, have breakfast and then leave for Kampala. But you will have an enroute Rhino Tracking at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola district off Gulu-Kampala Highway. You will arrive at the rhino ranch late morning. Spend 2 hours trekking rhinos and also have lunch here before continuing with journey to Kampala where you will arrive in the evening. Accommodation: Cassia Lodge, Meal Plan: Full Board, Travel Time: (Gullu-Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary) 2: 30 hours’ drive (Ziwa-Kampala) 2:30 hours drive
 
Day 7: Transfer to the Entebbe International Park
This day is only reserved for airport transfer. The drive will ensure that you are at the airport 3 hours to your departure flight. End of Kidepo Valley Uganda Safari.
