5 Day Gorilla and Chimp Trekking Uganda Via Rwanda

Detailed Itinerary  for the 5 Days Uganda Gorillas and Chimpanzee trekking plus wildlife Tours runs as follow:-

Day 1: Pickup from Kigali, Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Uganda

You will get picked up from the airport or a hotel in Kigali and then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Uganda. You will spend three hours on the way and upon arrival, have lunch and go for afternoon activities. These include canoe trekking cruise on this second deepest lake in Uganda, a community tour and a nature walk around the lake. Dinner and overnight stay at Bunyonyi Overland Resort on full board. 

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for Gorilla Tracking

Wake up very early for breakfast and the check out to transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a gorilla trekking safari. After some briefing from a local guide, trek into the forest for a memorable gorilla adventure in Uganda. The trek may last between 3 to 8 hours depending on the gorilla movement. Meeting the gorillas is one of the most captivating wildlife experiences you can ever have. You will stay for one hour near the gorillas as they play and feed on the leafy greens around. After gorilla trekking, transfer back to the lodge for a heavy and delicious lunch followed by a restful evening. Stay overnight at Bakiga Lodge on full board.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoy an evening Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park and arrive in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you will have lunch in preparation for a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. During the boat cruise, you will a chance to see lots of animals and birds on the water shoreline enjoying water and nature. Kazinga Channel is a wider water stream that bonds Lake Edward to Lake George as it stretches through the park. While on the voyage, you will see animals like elephants, hippos, buffaloes and many more along the channel shores. The channel is also a haven for several bird species and ideal for bird watching. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Enganzi Lodge.

Day 4: Enjoy Chimpanzee Tracking in Kalinzu Central Forest Reserve, and then Transfer to Kampala. 

Take an early breakfast, set off for a chimpanzee tracking safari in Kalinzu Central Forest Reserve on the outskirts of the park. During this safari, you will see chimps playing on tree branches to your amazement and amusement. There are also many primate species and birds including the avian species like falcons, the blue-headed bee-eater and the African Fin foot. After the chimps trekking safari, leave for Kampala with an en route lunch in Mbarara Town. The driver will transfer you to your accommodation at Speke Hotel.

Day 5: Kampala City Tour followed by Entebbe Airport Transfer.

After breakfast, you will start city tour of Kampala going to places like Kasubi Tombs, Uganda Museum, Namugongo Martyrs’’ Shrine, Bahai Temple and Kampala City Centre. Later you will have lunch and transfer to the airport for your flight departure. End of the Uganda Safari.
