4 Days Sempaya Hot Springs & Queen Elizabeth Safari
Enjoy a hot springs tour in Semuliki, Batwa and wildlife safaris. This Uganda Safari package involves visiting Semuliki Wildlife Reserve and Queen Elizabeth National Park. Activities at Semuliki include a tour of Sempaya Hot Springs as well as Batwa (Pygmies) who live near the park. At Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will do a game drive and a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, one of the major water attractions in the park. Queen Elizabeth National Park and Semuliki wildlife reserve are among the major tourist attractions in Western Uganda.
Detailed Trip Plan
Day 1: Drive to Semuliki National Park
After a wonderful breakfast in Kampala, drive to Semuliki National Park, a wildlife reserve with many habitats like Riparian forests, rain forests plus short and high grass Savannah. The park is also known for night game drives that reward you with nocturnal dwellers like the white-tailed mongoose and slender mongoose, standard and pennant winged night jars, cats, hyenas and leopards among the many. The park generally offers lots of surprises as you never know what you might find. Overnight at Semuliki Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Visit Sempaya Hot Springs and Pygmies (Batwa People)
Enjoy breakfast and then visit the mesmerizing Sempaya Hot Springs, of the amazing hot springs in Uganda followed by a community tour of the Batwa communities to appreciate their ways of lifestyle. In afternoon after lunch, leave for Queen Elizabeth National Park going through Fort Portal. Overnight stay at Ihamba Safari Lodge, Elephant Plains Lodge or Bush Lodge on Full Board.
Day 3: Game Drive Safari and Boat Ride on Kazinga Channel
Take a Game drive after an early breakfast, spot lots of wild animals and birds. After lunch at the lodge, transfer to Mweya Peninsula for a Kazinga Channel boat cruise during which you will spot lots of animals and bird. The channel shores has several birds and animals that you will see from a smooth sailing boat during a two-hour voyage on the calm waters. Later in the evening, return to the lodge for overnight. Dinner and overnight Ihamba Safari Lodge, Elephant Plains Lodge or Bush Lodge on Full Board.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura and Nature Walk in Maramagambo Forest.
Get you breakfast and go for a forest walk in Kyambura Gorge to trek chimpanzees and other primate species that inhabit the forest. In the afternoon after lunch, you will visit Maramagambo Forest to track primates and pass by the bat cave. You will retire from the walk to return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Game Drive Safari And Transfer Back To Kampala
Early in the morning before dawn, you will wake up a game drive in the Kasenyi track of the park to catch a glimpse of the early risers and predators going back to their hide outs. After the drive, leave for Kampala with lunch en route. Arrive in the evening.
