Buhoma Community Rest in Buhoma Sector of Bwindi Forest
Buhoma Community Rest Camp is located in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Buhoma. Set inside the Bwindi forest, this pleasant and well-kept complex provides accommodation and a restaurant which overlooks the forest canopy. We have a well-stocked bar just for your relaxing stay while in Bwindi. The rest camp in Buhoma sector in the north Bwindi national park is an excellent base for gorilla trekking. The accommodation is just before the entrance of Bwindi National Park and occasionally the Gorillas visit the camp!
At the Buhoma community Rest Camp accommodation is provided in clean well maintained bandas, self-contained safari tents mounted on platforms that look into the Bwindi forest. All the accommodation has solar electric lighting installed as well as hot water showers. Five of the bandas have shared washing/toilet facilities whilst one unit is self-contained. There are several leveled terraces for those with their own equipment to camp. Cold beers and sodas are available with local produce used to provide visitors meals.
Buhoma community bandas is comprised of 6 well designed safari tents well equipped with all the necessary facilities with the speculative views facing the forest. Have your rest at the one these tents as you listening to cool music of nature. Not anything beats the scenes that unfold right in front of you. Gorillas do drop by to say hullo irregularly.
There are also 5 twin cottage bandas which are non-self-contained and which are well constructed in traditional local materials from African architectural design.
Buhoma community Bandas has also got one dormitory that contains 6 beds with camps sites that are all over the place which are also well constructed with green thatched roofing and all so enclosed with thick tropical forest.
