Mweya Airfield in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Mweya airstrip is found in western Uganda within Queen Elizabeth National Park. Its an approximately one hour flight from Entebbe International Airport to Mweya. Mweya Airport, in Kasese District in Mweya in western Uganda and it one of the 46 civilian airports in Uganda. The airfield is approximately 283 kilometres (176 mi), by air, west of Entebbe International Airport, the country’s largest civilian and military airport.

To reach Mweya airstrip, it takes less than one hour flight from Entebbe International Airport to the Airstrip at Mweya takes one to the door step of the Lodge itself. Mweya Airport serves the area of Mweya and the neighboring areas of Queen Elizabeth National Park and the Lake Katwe Explosion Crater.
