Ngamba Island in Lake VictoriaOur guide will pick you from the hotel and drive you to Entebbe landing site from where you will have to board the boat that normally sets off at 9.00 am .the boat ride will take 90 minutes on waters of Lake Victoria. Upon reaching there, you will be warmly welcomed by the staff members and meet your guide who will brief you about few certain things and takes you through the tour program.

After the briefing, it will be time for feeding the chimpanzees, visitors take part in feeding of these primates, you will spend an hour feeding them as you watch and see their different personalities and characteristics. Feeding chimpanzees is really so amazing, as time  gets already for feeding , and they do not see any off their care takes ,they will start making noise, clapping hands ,they are very time conscious when it comes to feeding them.

Opportunities are available for you to enjoy being close enough to view the behavior of one of our closest animal relatives. But you must have  taken vaccination recently against human diseases such as Hepatitis A and B, Polio, Measles or any other human disease. You will get back to restaurant for your delicious lunch and spend an hour relaxing on the shores of the lake as you wait for the second third time feeding of the chimps. Meals and overnight at Ngamba Tented Camp (Full Board).

Day 2: Forest walk in Chimpanzee trails.

The Forest Walk experience offers you a chance to see with a group of juvenile chimpanzees on a one hour walk through their forest habitat in the early morning. A group of four visitors take park in each forest walk, always escorted by trained Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust (CSWCT) staff for your safety and explanation. You will be in the group of several chimpanzees ranging in age from 5 years to 8 years of age and you will have direct contact as we familiarize them to life in the forest and possible future discharge program back to the wild.

There are very particular instructions on clothing, cameras, glasses, and behavior when signing up for this unique opportunity as these chimpanzees are familiar with humans and they will play-bite, climb on you, grab your glasses, and pull your hair or even just walk along holding your hand. And that’s where the fun just begins!  Depending upon how manageable the chimps are, there is no guarantee on activity duration. You will return back to the lodge for lunch, then get back on the boat to transfer you back to Entebbe from where you will find your driver who is to transfer you back to Kampala or Entebbe airport.
