Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park, Visit Rhino En Route
Start the day by driving to Murchison Falls National Park. Make a stop en route for rhino trekking and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Spend about 2 to 3 hours at this tourist site before continuing with the journey to Murchison. You will stop in Masindi for lunch and arrive at the park in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge, Pakuba Safari Lodge or Sambiya River Lodge
At Murchison Falls National Park where lots of Uganda Safaris and tours take place is characterized by Savannah, riverine forest and wood. There are a variety of animal species that include lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hartebeest, oribis, Uganda kobs and number of bird species that one enjoys while trekking chimpanzees in Budongo forest.
Day 2: Game Drive and Launch Cruise
Have a game drive in the morning where you will see animals like lions, leopards, hyenas, elephants, and many more. After lunch in the afternoon, go for a boat ride on the Nile to the bottom of the falls which is a charming adventure and exposes you to animals like crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and many birds. After, the cruise, you will hike to the top of the falls where the Nile perfects its beauty. Here you will see the Nile strikingly running through a narrow crevice down about 150 feet producing a thunderous roar of white waters creating an incredible scenery. Later, drive back to the lodge for overnight stay at Paraa Safari Lodge, Sambiya River Lodge
Day 3: Leave for Kibale National Park
Depart Murchison falls for Kibale National park to reach in the evening. Overnight at Crater Safari Lodge or Primates Lodge on full board.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking Safari in Kibale Forest and a Nature Walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.
Today is a unique Uganda Safari experience. Transfer to the park headquarters for briefing about chimp trekking rules and guidelines before heading to the forest in search for chimpanzees. Kibale forest is among the best chimp trekking spots in Uganda. You only need chimp permit to move freely into the forest for a primate adventure. You will come close to chimps and other primates like the red tailed monkeys, colobus monkeys and many more. The trek will give you an opportunity to view a wide range of primates, Birds and Butterflies through a network of shady forest trail. In the afternoon you will go for a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary area and then after retire for overnight at Ndali lodge or Primates’ lodge, Fort Motel, Mountains of the Moon Hotel and Toro Resort.
Day 5: Drive To Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will arrive in the afternoon. You will have a brief evening game drive into the park in search of the resident wild animals. You will hippos, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, lions and birds among others. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Kingfisher Lodge or Ihamba Lakeside Safari Lodge on full board.
Day 6: Game Drive and boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
In the morning you will have game drive in the park searching for animals like lions, elephants, hyenas, buffaloes, bush buck, Uganda kobs, wart hogs and many more. Return to the lodge and take a rest. In the afternoon after lunch, go for a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, during which lots of birds and animals await your sight. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Kingfisher Lodge or Ihamba Lakeside Safari Lodge on full board
Day 7: Enjoy Game Drive as you head to Bwindi, habitat to Gorillas in Uganda
Have a game drive en-route in the Ishasha sector and you will see the tree climbing lions as you transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest, the territory of the gorillas. You will reach the park in the evening. Overnight and dinner at Silverback Lodge, Mahogany Springs or Buhoma Community Bandas on full board.
Day 8: Gorilla Trekking Safari in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
The climax of this whole Safari Tours is the Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest. After breakfast in the morning, get your packed lunch and move to the forest in search for the endangered apes. At the park offices, you will first be briefed about the gorilla trekking rules while in the forest. The search might take you about 2 to 8 hours before you come across the gorillas. Once you meet them, you spend an hour with them watching them how they feed, play and care for their young ones. Afterwards, you will return to your lodge.
Day 9: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for Nature and Community Tours
Wake up to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi one of the deepest crater lakes in Uganda. This lake is characterized by a multitude of small islands in it. You will reach in the afternoon to settle down by the shores. You may perhaps decided to go for a boat ride to Bushara Island or have a walk around the shores of the lake the place is known to be a home to lots of small birds. Overnight at Bunyonyi Safaris Lodge or Bunyonyi Overland Resort on full board.
Day 10: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
Wake up early enough, freshen up, take your breakfast and drive to Lake Mburo National park where you will reach in the afternoon after lunch in Mbarara town. On arrival, go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo to view animals like the hippos’ buffaloes, and crocodiles alongside the many attractive birds species around the area. Overnight stay at Rwakobo Rock or Mburo Safari Lodge on full board.
Day 11: Transfer to Jinja through Kampala City
After breakfast, begin the day with a game drive through the park. During the game drive, among the animals you should expect to see include the impalas, buffaloes, zebras, hyenas, road antelopes, topis, jackals and the elands among others. After the game safari, leave the park to proceed to Kampala with an en route lunch in Masaka town at Brovad Hotel. After lunch, continue to Kampala with an stopover at the Uganda Equator. This is the meeting point for the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Take photos at the Equator monument and also check on the craft shops around this highway tourist site. From here, proceed to Kampala where you will stay for overnight at Speke Hotel, Hotel Africana or Urban by City Blue Kampala on full board.
Day 12: Full Day White Water Rafting on River Nile
Have breakfast and transfer to Jinja for a full day White water rafting on River Nile. Enjoy the water adventure for morning and afternoon escapades. Lunch is served in between the two adventure water sessions. In the evening, check in at the lodge for overnight on full board. Overnight at Source of the Nile Hotel, Source of the Smile or Hotel Triangle Jinja on full board.
Day 13: Visit the Source of River Nile and Transfer to Ngamba Island, the Home of Chimpanzees in Lake Victoria
Take breakfast and visit the Source of River Nile. Enjoy a boat cruise to source of the world’s longest river. Having seen the river’s starting point, start the journey to Ngamba Island through Kampala to Entebbe. On arrival in Entebbe, take a boat cruise to Ngamba Island, a Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust (CSWCT) in Lake Victoria. This chimp home was established as a combined national and international initiative and a globally recognised collaborative conservation effort to develop and implement a long-term strategy for conservation of chimps and their habitat. The island is a home to 40 orphaned chimpanzees which are an endangered species found in forests and 20 of which have been brought to the island from when the sanctuary opened. Overnight on the island.
Day 14: Viewing Chimpanzees in Ngamba, Cruise Back to Entebbe Main Land
Have breakfast to go for a forest walk on the island with the young chimpanzees. After the walk you will sail to the main lake shores in Entebbe from where you will be driven to a hotel in Entebbe. Stay at Boma or Central Inn on full board.
Day 15: Airport Transfer for a flight back home
On this day, you will conclude you Uganda Safari Tours and airport transfer.
