Uganda Tourism Board Launches Experience Uganda First Middle East Campaign
The Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) has launched a tourism campaign exclusively for visitors from the Middle East countries. The campaign code-named “Experience Uganda – First!” is aimed at creating and promoting travel packages for gulf countries.
The campaign, which offers selected Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), travel agencies unique travel holiday packages. These packages are built on several themes along with complimentary airport transfers for their tourists. The Middle East Uganda tourism campaign was launched recently at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dubai and was attended by Uganda’s Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu as well as the Ugandan Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) countries, His Excellency Ambassador Zaake Wanume Kibedi plus
The Experience Uganda First campaign promotes Destination Uganda, the Pearl of Africa as a premier adventure, wildlife safari and nature holiday destination for tourists of various categories. It is hoped that through these marketing efforts, more citizens and residents of the Gulf Countries will visit Uganda, see first-hand the exceptional natural and human resources plus the talents that make Uganda so special, especially as a holiday endpoint.”
His Excellency Ambassador Zaake Wanume Kibedi praised the campaign as a tool that would make Uganda more known and accessible. “The Gulf Countries are a region of focus and commitment for Uganda going forward. To that end, the Uganda Tourism Board has established a representative office with AVIAREPS based in Dubai to cover the whole G.C.C. region. Various destination marketing activities, including this campaign launch, are being conducted in the region to make Uganda more accessible for travelers and travel agents alike, to ensure that Uganda becomes a ‘bucket list’ holiday destination that doesn’t disappoint.”
Dozens of travel and nature fanatics from the Middle East are yet to visit Uganda, a country that is gifted by nature as The Experience Uganda – First was formulated to address the awareness and tourist number concerns.
