Wildlife Reserves in Uganda
Wildlife Reserves in Uganda are some of the attractions on whom the country’s tourism sector relies. Uganda boasts of several wildlife reserves spread across the country. Wildlife safaris and tours to all these tourist attractions are major activities at the wildlife reserves. Several trips in Uganda take place in the parks that are evenly distributed across and represented in almost all regions of the country. Besides the National Parks that the country is proud of, there are numerous Wildlife Game Reserves in Uganda where also tour activities are carried out and they contribute highly to the tourism success. These include:-

Some of the wildlife reserves in Uganda are managed by Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) and others by the National Forestry Authority (NFA). UWA is an agency by the Government of Uganda responsible for managing and protecting of Wildlife in and outside the protected areas. The agency is supervised by the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities.
